blog / Positivies In The Loss

As hard as it is to say after a loss, there were some positives that we can take away from our game with the Eagles. There was a lot of team unity in the fact that we played well in all three phases of the game. We weren’t able to finish the game, but it was definitely a step in the right direction. Obviously we have to do more on offense, defense and special teams and we have to keep improving.

That’s not to take away from what the Eagles did today. Hats off to Eagles kicker Jake Elliott for making a long kick to win the game. It seemed like he kicked the ball from the other end of the field. He made a huge play with the game on the line.

On our end, we had some good drives on offense where we were able to move the ball up and down the field, but we weren’t able to get in the end zone. Obviously, when you play football you need to score points but we weren’t able to do that until late in the game. It is unfortunate that we had opportunities that we didn’t capitalize on.

We just have to get back to work, keep improving and get ready for the Bucs on Sunday.
