blog / Fighting Through The Pain

London was amazing! It was a remarkable opportunity for us to soak up so much culture and history while we were in the UK last week. This game affords some unforgettable opportunities and last week was one of them.

On Sunday, the off the field stuff was beyond my wildest expectations. The on the field part of my week was the tough part. It was difficult trying to manage practice, rehab and rest all while dealing with my injury. There was a lot that went into getting on the field on Sunday. Even with all of the pain, there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to play. The thought kept coming back into my mind that if I didn’t play then I would be letting my team down and I was not about to let that happen. My teammates did a great job keeping me encouraged and they had my back all week long.

To put that kind of effort into the week made and having to fight through pain the win that much sweeter. There was no better feeling in the world than to be on the plane back from London with all of us laughing and enjoying the win.

One of the greatest benefits of the London game is having our bye week immediately after. This week is coming at an absolutely perfect time for me. I’m looking forward to just having a week of rest to where I can just focus on getting myself back to full speed.

I’m enjoying my week of down time, but I can’t wait to see you Giant fans in two weeks. See you at the Met for our game against Philly!!
